TV broadcasts today are transmitted over a wide variety of interfaces. Whether traditional solutions such as cable, satellite and antenna or in modern IPTV variant. The Bavarian Minister of Economics and Technology Franz Josef Pschierer sponsors a 5G test field for TV broadcasting. This was announced by Telefonica on April 30, 2018 . Security Changes in 5G

In 5G networks, SIM cards become optional for some applications, and roaming becomes more traceable and secure for network operators. In addition, the old signaling protocols disappear.
With 5G, there are important changes to the protocols underlying the mobile networks. There are also security changes, mostly on the provider side. The preparations for the new standard have been going on for many years, but gradually 5G is entering the implementation phase .

Substructure
First, the entire substructure is changed. Instead of classic signaling protocols like the notoriously insecure SS7 , 5G uses APIs that regulate traffic between mobile operators. According to Ericsson , the development of applications for the network will be much easier, because classic libraries, developer tools and other tools can be used.
Now, the Diameter protocol is used at LTE SS7, that’s why deployment and LTE roaming took a comparatively long time, because a completely new signaling infrastructure had to be built for this. However, at 5G everything is changed again. Diameter compared to the previous protocol Radius in the security area, especially the encrypted communication using IPsec or TLS.

Snapdragon 855: Up to 2 Gbps via LTE and additional 5G modem

Chipset maker Qualcomm is again proving to be an innovator in mobile broadband and is using a dual-modem solution for its upcoming Snapdragon 855 platform. The SoC will come up with an LTE modem (Snapdragon X24) and a 5G counterpart (Snapdragon X50) at the same time. There is a further tempo boost in terms of 4G connectivity up to 2 Gbit / s.

What is Snapdragon 855
The Snapdragon 845 SoC is the successor to 2017’s Snapdragon 835. It is made on Samsung’s second-generation 10LPP process, a refined version of 10LPE used for the 835, but according to a recent report, TSMC will be making the 7nm (FinFET) chips for the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Samsung recently announced that is working on 7LPP (Low Power Plus) with EUV (extreme ultra violet) lithography technology for smart phones that is targeted for initial production in the second half of 2018.
The same report said that Qualcomm is going with TSMC since it uses normal steppers while Samsung is going with 7nm EUV lithography tech which is riskier, and might not be ready on time.

Huawei B529s LTE Router Review
