4G LTE router Huawei E589 is a mobile hotspot which could enable up to 10 Wi-Fi devices to enter into the mobile network at one time. This tutorial will show you how to set wireless network connection for E589 on Windows 7 system.
Steps to Connect to E589 Wireless Network
1On your Windows 7 PC or laptop, click the Start icon -> Control Panel.
2Under Network and Internet, click View network status and tasks.
3Under Change your network settings, click Connect to a network.
4 Available wireless networks will now be displayed. Then click Next to continue.
In order to select the correct wireless network, you need to know the Service Set Identification (SSID), otherwise know as the wireless network name, of the Mobile WiFi device.
On the Mobile E589 4G mobile Wi-Fi device, press the WPS button twice. The SSID will be displayed, followed by the WiFi key. Search for the SSID name on the PC or laptop as an available wireless network. Click Next to continue.
5 Find out the Wireless network name
If the wireless network name does not appear on your PC or laptop’s list of wireless networks, check on the Huawei E589 to see if WiFi is displayed on the screen. If not, press and hold the Power/WiFi button for a few seconds. The WiFi icon will appear on the screen. Click Next to continue
If the wireless network is still not displayed on the PC or laptop’s list of available networks, press and hold the WPS button for 10 seconds. The Mobile WiFi device will then broadcast its wireless network signal. Click Next to continue.
6Connect the mobile WiFi
On your PC or laptop, click the wireless network (e.g. My Broadband-A9E6) when it appears. Click Connect.
Enter the WiFi key, then click OK.
Click the wireless network icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
The Mobile WiFi connection status will display Connected.
After these steps, the connection to the E589’s wireless network has now been established. Your computer could surf on the mobile network freely.
